the brand girls: how to hold yourself accountable for your new year’s resolution

With the new year comes resolutions that can be hard to keep. Colleges courses, the search for summer internships, and career building can all can all quickly pile up, getting in the way…of following through on your resolutions. The Brand Girls wants to help you be successful this year! Here are three easy ways to hold yourself accountable for your New Year’s Resolutions.

1. Say it out loud.
Tell a friend or family member about your resolutions. You are much more likely to do what you said because you know someone could will be watching!

2. Write it out
Write your resolutions on a piece of paper and put it in a place you look at everyday such as the bathroom mirror. This will help remind you of the promise you made yourself and will motivate you to follow through. This is one of our favorite ways to motivate ourselves at The Brand Girls!

3. Have an incentive
Let’s be honest, we all like getting rewards. When setting your resolutions, think of something you really want to do/have and make it your incentive. Say to yourself “When I do ____, I will reward myself by ____.” This will not only hold you accountable, but it will keep you excited about your resolutions.

The Brand Girls team loves helping you succeed. We wish you the best of luck in 2018 and hope you will use these tips to hold yourself accountable for your New Year’s Resolution!
